Empowering Futures Laptop Scholarship
At The McMillan Family Foundation, we believe that every student deserves the tools they need to succeed. In today’s digital world, a dependable laptop isn’t just helpful — it’s essential. From writing papers and conducting research to participating in virtual classes and collaborating with peers, technology plays a critical role in academic achievement.
Our Laptop Scholarship Program is open to students enrolled in:
- 2-year degree programs
- 4-year degree programs
- Postgraduate programs
We know that applying for scholarships can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why we’ve created a streamlined application process. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for qualified students to access the technology they need without unnecessary obstacles.
In addition to our laptop scholarships, we occasionally offer other scholarship opportunities as funding becomes available in our annual scholarship budget. These opportunities will be announced on our website and social media channels, so we encourage students to check back regularly.
By investing in the next generation, we are doing more than providing a device — we’re empowering students to learn, achieve, and reach their fullest potential. Whether you’re just beginning your college journey or advancing in your studies, we’re here to help you succeed.
Dr. Ruby Eldridge Wellness Sabbatical Scholarship
APPLICATION PERIOD – Applications accepted February 14 – March 24 | Winner announced April 25

The Dr. Ruby Eldridge Wellness Sabbatical Scholarship was created by Co-Founder Ced McMillan in honor of his beloved grandmother, mentor, and matriarch of his maternal family. Dr. Eldridge raised Ced as her own son in the absence of his biological parents. Her unwavering faith in God, steadfast commitment to ministry, and lifelong dedication to serving her community—continuing actively well into her 80s—inspires all who know her.
This scholarship is awarded annually each April and is specifically designed to support clergy seeking a sabbatical. A healthy sabbatical is more than just a break; it’s a shared blessing. When ministry leaders take time to rest and recharge physically, emotionally, and spiritually, their entire congregation benefits. This annual scholarship of $2,500 supports first-time sabbaticals focused on holistic wellness, giving clergy the restorative break they deserve.
